Vegas Baby

Sent off another quilt this week to another great grand niece, this one in Las Vegas.   I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting her yet but have seen many photos.  I must say, she really is beautiful.  Our family seems to be growing by leaps and bounds.  We are all very blessed.

The quilt's name is Peeking Through the Keyhole.

A "Pieceful" Day

Listening to the song of a gentle rain as I piece together some quilt blocks, I am reminded of  how very blessed I am.

Simply Primitive!

Just a little mini quilt with redwork for a special friend's birthday.  She's an avid angel believer.
Wishing her wonderful birthday blessings.
Truly enjoyed working on the hand embroidery.  I especially like the simplicity of the primitive look.  I've already thought of several more projects I plan to do.  My creative juices are running!

Isabella the Great

For my "soon-to-arrive" great grand niece, my newest creation for the family's newest creation.  I've named it Isabella's Pinwheels.

We are all anticipating her "royal"entrance into the world in a few weeks.  I have heard from a very reliable source that she comes from a long line of princesses!

Pretty in Pink

My to do list is getting whittled down, little by little.  Today I completed a quilt, requested by a dear friend to give as a gift to a co-worker.  I’m very pleased with the way it came out.  I hope the little one receiving it will enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Lottie-Da

Our family is having a mini population explosion.  Baby girl #2 has arrived.  Another blessed grand niece.  Her name is Charlotte Louise and she’s beautiful.  She was born 2 days ago and her quilt was finished and shipped to her today.  I’ve named her quilt Lottie-Da (Lottie for Char”lotte” and Da for the first two letters of her last name).  Here are a few pics.

Finished just in time to welcome a new baby girl into our family.  Little Miranda Jessica arrived just before Thanksgiving.  What a great gift for her family.  Here’s wishing them all a great holiday and wishing her a wonderful “birth” day.

Lucky for me I chose the perfect colors.  Her nursery is all “baby girl” pink.

A Promise to Noah

For several years now, I’ve been making quilts for children in crisis, be it medical, emotional, social, or otherwise. My foundation is called “A Promise to Noah” in honor of my grandson. Each quilt carries with it a promise of hope. They are stitched with love and prayers so each child can find the necessary strength to face their specific challenge. Each quilt is unique and has been named. The recipient receives with the quilt, a card with a message of encouragement and the name of their personal one-of-a-kind quilt. They each have a secret pocket which carries their card. Once the card has been removed, this secret pocket becomes a special place to keep “little treasures”.

Here's a sample of one of my "Promise Quilts".
